Our high-protein diet consists of 4 levels, each with distinct objectives. Depending on each level's objective, you will not consume the same amount of high-protein sachets.

Level 1, the strict protein diet: its goal is to trigger very rapid weight loss. You will consume high-protein sachets at each meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and for snacks (at 10am and 4pm for women, at 10am, 4pm and 10pm for men).
If you are a woman: consumption of 5 high-protein sachets per day.
If you are a man: consumption of 6 high-protein sachets per day.

Level 2, the mitigated protein diet: As its name suggests, this diet is less strict and encourages you to keep one more traditional meal, composed of food proteins. The rest of the time you will consume high-protein sachets.
If you are a woman: consumption of 4 high-protein sachets per day.
If you are a man: consumption of 5 high-protein sachets per day.

Level 3, the transition: This level involves reintroducing certain food groups into your weight loss program, in addition to the regular meal. You will be encouraged to have a balanced and structured breakfast to diversify your diet instead of a high-protein sachet.
If you are a woman: consumption of 3 high-protein sachets per day.
If you are a man: consumption of 4 high-protein sachets per day.

Level 4, stabilization: The goal being to stabilize your weight, you will only consume high-protein sachets for snacks.
If you are a woman: consumption of 2 high-protein sachets per day.
If you are a man: consumption of 3 high-protein sachets per day.

How long does each phase of the high-protein diet last?

The answer is as follows: the duration of each level depends on your weight loss goal.

You will follow the level 1 program until you reach 70% of your weight loss goal, then move to level 2 until 80%, followed by level 3 until 90%, and finally level 4 until you reach 100% of your goal.

If the level 1 program seems too difficult for you, you can start your high-protein diet with level 2 and keep one more "traditional" meal per day. You follow the level 2 program until you reach 80% of your weight loss goal.

Option 2: you start your high-protein diet with the mixed diet (Level 2).

All high-protein sachets contain the same amount of protein for weight loss: 18 grams of high biological value protein. This means that a soup, an omelet, or a shepherd's pie contains the same amount of protein as a cocoa drink or a high-protein dessert cream.

How is my protein requirement calculated?

All the previous recommendations are actually averages. For example, on average, a woman whose ideal weight is 65 kilos will need to consume 5 high-protein sachets per day during level 1, the strict protein diet.

Here's how to calculate your own protein needs:

  • Calculating protein needs during level 1, the strict protein diet:

Start the calculation using your ideal weight as a reference, regardless of your current weight. During the strict protein diet, you will need to consume 1.5 grams of protein per kilo of ideal weight.

If your ideal weight is 65 kilos, then you will need 97.5 grams of protein daily.
→ 65 x 1.5 = 97.5 grams of protein

  • Calculating the number of high-protein sachets to take during the strict protein diet:

The Cétofine 21 high-protein sachets contain 18 grams of high biological value protein each. Divide the total amount of protein needed (previous calculation) by 18. In this example, this equals 5.42 sachets per day.
→ 97.5 / 18 = 5.42 high-protein sachets

Rounding to the nearest whole number, you will take 5 sachets per day, preferably distributed as follows:

  • 1 high-protein sachet in the morning for breakfast
  • 1 sachet as a snack at 10 AM
  • 1 sachet at noon for lunch
  • 1 sachet as a snack at 4 PM
  • 1 sachet in the evening for dinner

During the first 2 days of the high-protein diet, if you feel hungry, you can have an additional high-protein sachet. This sensation decreases as your body produces ketone bodies.
